A new way of holding meetings
Apply Sørco is an engineering and contracting company operating in the oil and gas industry.It has offices in Stavanger, Bergen, and Krakow in Poland, in addition to a number of employees working offshore.
The company wanted to hold regular status meetings which employees at all these locations, including those working offshore, could attend.But the challenges involved in arranging physical meeting were numerous:travel time, coordination and finding a time that suited everyone.
Apply Sørco began to take a closer look at visual solutions and video conferences and then contacted Viju after recommendation.
A prerequisite for success
The different teams in Apply Sørco all work on modification and maintenance planning, and good collaboration is a prerequisite for success.
The company also had stringent requirements for the visual solutions in terms of high resolution and an option to display 3D models.
User-friendliness across the board
Viju created a video conference room with three display surfaces: one for use for video conferences, one for presenting 3D models and one for sharing status notes.Systems that interacted seamlessly with the video conference rooms were set up at the offshore locations.
“The system was so simple that we were using them before the training had been given,” says Hans Petter Heggebø, Director of Modification and Maintenance at Apply Sørco.

Apply Sørco now holds regular meetings without thinking about the travel, coordination and time challenges.And they hold general meetings across locations without spending valuable working time on travelling.
